In totality, because my procedure was for a bicuspid which only had one canal, he was finished within 12 to 15 minutes. I couldn't have asked for a more thorough, friendly, speedy, and professional experience. If you're facing a root canal for the first time, or had a bad experience with one elsewhere, know that Central Pennsylvania Endodontics will completely erase your fear and apprehension!
Dr. Robert Saylor was friendly, informative, professional, and had a calming demeanor that lent greatly to a positive experience. Initial x-rays were performed, after which he administered an appropriate amount of anesthetic. Before diving into his work he gave me several minutes for the medicine to do its work and only once I was thoroughly numb did he return and proceed with the root canal.
I was indescribably apprehensive showing up for my first root canal. Despite many people telling me it was hardly worse than a normal filling, the negative stigma of the procedure weighed heavily on me.
The way professional services SHOULD be delivered. Why do we find it nearly amazing when things are done well and right! I left the office, sooo "delighted" with my brand new root canal. Wanna see?

Dr. Richey was a pleasure to work with. Both he and his staff are very friendly and wonderful people. I was very nervous and apprehensive about receiving a root canal. During the procedure I felt no pain at all and Dr. Richey was great about talking though everything he was doing. I wish I could give more than 5 stars on this review. These people are excellent and I highly recommend them!
Long story short, chipped tooth I should have had fixed sooner turned abscessed. My dentists refered me to the Mifflinburg office for my first root canal. Everything was well explained from start to finish. After a liberal amount of local anesthetic and 75 min. in the chair, the procedure on my front right lower tooth was painlessly compleated. 6 hrs later, as I expected some of the worst pain of my life to return with vengeance, the Lidocaine's effect subsided and I was actually 99.9% pain free.
