One of the main concerns that my husband and I had planning our wedding was that we only had around 50 guest. We worked with Casey coming up with the perfect layout so the room didn't look too big. From the start Casey always responded to all my emails and question in a timely manner. The day of the wedding everything was great and everything went as planned. The servers were so wonderful to us and our guest always making sure that we had our cups full and checking if we needed anything else. We decided on having a buffet instead of a served dinner that way people can choose from more than one option. There was plenty of food and it was delicious!!! I would definitely recommend any bride to choose Hoag's catering for their upcoming wedding!
Totally terrible. I used hoags catering for a wedding reception. The linens showed up stained and dirty. Chairs that we were promised would be available and were in contract were told they were unavailable 2 days before the wedding. I called the staff to bring this to their attention. They literally fought with me on the phone and said they would give a refund for 20 dollars. My call had nothing to do with getting a refund. It was to simply notify the manager of the service I had gotten. Big mistake. Don't even bother using them. Terrible experience
We hold weekly meetings here and Amy is the best at making sure all our needs are met! Thanks for great food and service! They are a great source for all your party and meeting needs....they even deliver so you don't have to leave your home or office.
I hired Hoag's, after reading many good reviews, for a 3 day company sales meeting (45ish people) at my facility in State College. The food, the presentation and the pricing were all good, however I found myself helping to unload the food, tables, etc. from the van, lending an extra cart, transporting the supplies up to our designated room and setting-up/breaking-down on a daily basis. Only 1 staff member from Hoag's was sent each day, and unfortunately, they did not allow enough time for everything to be set for our scheduled meal time. Prior to our event, during the planning stages with Hoag's, I expressed how critical it was that everything be on time as our meeting schedule is always jam packed.
Since then, I have contacted Hoag's about the issues we encountered and, so far, they have refused to do anything to rectify the situation besides send a simple "I apologize... we'll make a note on the account..." e-mail.
Although the staff were very nice, I was incredibly disappointed in the lack of planning exhibited, especially from such a well seasoned catering company. I am sorry to say, we will not be using Hoag's Catering in the future.
Hoag's Catering was nothing short of fantastic to work with. From start to finish Hoag's impressed with on point communications to some of the most delicious catered food we have ever had. Thanks to Hoag's for making our Penn State grad's party one to remember!
