However, the fact that someone else bought the place and the entire staff was gone and replaced was obvious once I looked around. First, the specific sign about cash tips was gone from the wall everyone could see. The white washcloths that were once nicely displayed so that you could dry your hands after washing them were gone and now paper towels were in their place. The most obvious change? A whole ENTIRE NEW staff. Not a single person from the previous staff was there.
These folks MUST learn to speak better English or, they need someone who speaks fluent English to answer the phones and work the front desk.
Short on time this week, I decided to stop in to Regal Nails after reading their reviews. I work here in State College and was hoping to find a nail salon here instead of going to my usual in Altoona which can be quite inconvenient some weeks. I am so glad I went. Gel colors are numbered and organized. I picked the exact shade I wanted. Application was fast and easy. I was out of there in 45 minutes with a new manicure. Price was just right too. Bright, clean, friendly. I'll be back in two weeks!
As it turns out, this particular franchise has been bought out by a whole other owner. And then it dawned on me that the last time this happened, they told everybody that their preferred techs were "on vacation."
Sally is extremely good at doing refills. All of the sudden she's gone back to Vietnam to celebrate CHINESE NEW YEAR?!?!?!
Joann is also good but she's going to be away starting tomorrow for a MONTH???
Love getting my nails done here! The staff are extremely friendly, and I always get so many compliments on my nails. I have referred so many people to go here, plus I pay way less than I did when going downtown in State College!
I love this place. They do a very good job on nails. I've gone to a couple of other places and haven't been as satisfied. I've read some of the other reviews and I do think the pricing can be confusing - especially for someone like me who doesn't know what each service is. However, if you discuss the price before the service they will give that to you. I think the pricing issues are just miscommunication and not that the salon is trying to rip you off. I've been using this salon for months now and am always very happy with the job they've done. I actually started using it when they fixed a bad job that another salon had done and at a discount.
