Con: overcharged for gas (when gas gage was shorted at pick up), extremely dirty interior, terrible customer service skills (pick up and by phone).
I will never rent from Budget again! Not only were the pick-up and drop-off places rude but the truck was in terrible condition. Someone had spilled soda all over the driver side and didn't clean it up. The inside of the truck was filthy, the inside of the bed of the stuck was filthy. This drop-off location barely acknowledged my presence and didn't even come back in to tell me that the paperwork had been finished. I got the hint when the guy helping me hopped on a fork lift and went on with his day. Now I am not even sure if it's considered "returned" because they didn't even have me sign paperwork....
Convenient to get on the road.

Horrible Horrible Horrible!!! Stay away if you want to keep your sanity!!! We had booked a truck 10 days in advance and was promised one would be here on July 31, the day we were to move our daughter. The day before we received a call saying no truck was available!! And there were no trucks available within 100 miles for 2 weeks WTF!!!!! This is just wrong and calls were made several times to customer service and several times they said they needed to call us back..They never called back..The person in State College was basically just as incompetent blaming the company fr the mix up...All the while we are now stuck wondering how we will move our daughter..The best laid plains will not work if you use Budget..
Had the same experience as RPL in late July. Had the reservation made through the national reservation at least two weeks in advance, complete with confirmation. When I called the local office that day before I picked up the truck, they said they had no record of the reservation, and even when I told them the confirmation number, they said it didn't matter because they had no trucks available. They referred me to the inventory specialist, who was very courteous, but after several hours, he acknowledged that nothing was going to be available. Perhaps they are okay during slow moving times, but definitely don't rely on them during a busy period!
