My childhood mall, now just a shell of it's former self. I would give this four stars if there was more to do inside, but I digress; our economy and the movement of the people dictate that malls are going out of style. It's a damn shame, and I wish something could be done about it. This and the Logan Valley Mall are the reasons why I love the interior atmosphere and sights of malls in general. I have to agree with fellow reviews that they do a good job keeping it clean inside. What I'm mostly surprised about is the pizza joint that's still there.
If they invested in expanding and improving could flourish but poorly kept and lacks attraction.
Becoming empty & they don't seem to want to bring in, in any shape or form, new stores that would make sense here. We're the home of Penn State!! But Altoona clearly has the buisness brilliance while we take a back seat.
The mall has lost several important stores over the years, but as long Hot Topic, Spencers and Game Stop are there, I will continue to shop there. The stores offer a wide variety of products, have frienfriendly clerks and clean stores.
Stores are leaving the mall. The ones that are there are great, just not enough.
