When I wrote a letter to the company about it, no reply returned.
On this trip, the AAA agents lied about not being able to notarize anything other than PennDOT documents. Notaries notarize signatures, regardless of any document type.
Several years ago, I had given up my membership after many years of membership because AAA in Pennsylvania left my wife, my baby and I to freeze on I-80 (it was 18 degrees below freezing). The agent was rather rude about it, adding insult to life-threatening injury.
Years later, I thought that I would try again. How are they still in business with such poor attitudes and lack of service ?
Very helpful in getting my out of state motorcycle retitled.
I've been a member for quite some time. It's really worth it. The staff here is very helpful in good at all the services they provide.
I have debated on whether or not to write this review because I do not like to be negative but this was so bad that it is still bothering me. I have been in sales and customer service management for over 20 years and I believe that the service I have received at this AAA location is not only the worst I have experienced but is also a tragic cry for help. I am a paid AAA member for over 10 years and I believe that the upper level management of this district should be aware of the abominable attitude, disrespect and questionable training being allowed to perpetuate at the State College facility on Saturday mornings. I have needed to conduct business on 2 separate Saturday mornings and I was met with employees who appeared to be annoyed by the members/customers in line and the employees were obviously unhappy about being there. I have never before been literally sneered at by someone working in a customer service capacity. If you plan to seek help form this branch only do so if you have a thick skin and you are prepared to be treated badly. Possibly the lack of knowledge about what services the AAA membership provides and how the CSRs are trained to perform those services might be a source of the unhappiness there. I had a decent experience with the travel services recently but I strongly recommend an audit of the operations of this branch before AAA loses paid memberships to auto insurers and internet companies who perform the same services with less grief.
Not helpful, as usual. AAA in Pennsylvania is a poor shadow of AAA everywhere else.
I had an emergency a while back, where I needed to cash a personal check. I remembered this is a service AAA used to provide. So I called to make sure they still provided this service at this branch. They said yes. I took time off work to go here to cash the check. I arrive and try to cash the check and the cashier flatly said "No". With no explanation or effort to try and help me, the customer. Beyond the poor customer service there sure seemed to be operating properly.
