Just walked in to the walk in clinic at 8:42 and the earliest they could find an appointment was in the afternoon. I guess it’s not a walk in clinic after all
Very convenient to have a walk in clinic. The doctors are fantastic. Note that this is a walk in and is first come first served as it should be. If you want to be seen at a specific time then schedule an appointment. I have never had to pay a copay because I work at Penn State. My family uses the clinic frequently. I like having the ability to be seen and not have to wait for an available appointment with my doctor. I have never had a bad experience here with any of the staff. I have had to wait a couple of time and have chosen to leave and come back later when they were busy. it is a walk in clinic and is run as such. I love the convenience of walking in when I need care and Hershey doctors are the best!
Not impressed as a Penn State employee we are encouraged to use this service. I brought my daughter to the clinic at 4:55. I was advised the walk in clinic hours began at 6:00 pm. The receptionist checked us in and told us to have a seat. I mentioned we would be back and she informed me we could not leave or she would have to remove us from the check in list and could not guarantee we would be taken first upon our return even if we were back before 6:00 pm. It is first come first serve. If we went to Med-Express we wouldn't be treated any differently. Very poor customer service in my opinion.
I saw two doctors almost immediately upon arrival. It was a complete discussion with good advice and a 'script in no time. My own doc would have been much harder to see in this short time.
The nurses and other employees were very good to me.
