For what it's worth, they do ask how spicy you want it when you're eating at the restaurant. But delivery is always a gamble.
I order from My Thai via Order Up roughly once a week. I'll keep ordering because I like the food, but the cooks only get the spice level right about half the time or less.
We were served by a waitress who wreaked of alcohol, we waited an hour for our food witch was cold when served. I had to remind the waitress that we never got drinks. Final straw for us was when a couple came in to have lunch for their anniversary, the intoxicated waitress blatantly refused to serve them because the woman was also an officer of the law !!! Rest assured we will never step foot in this establishment again.
He lied to me and said that he called order up and that it went to voicemail, which is false because I called them myself after calling the restaurant back.
I always ask for 2/5 on the spicy scale. A majority of the time there's no spice at all and I have to add my own. I've started to copy/paste "2/5 spicy level please" about 4-5 times for each dish in the special instructions so they're more likely to see it.
When I requested to speak to a manager about getting my order refunded, he said there was no manager that day. Having worked in food service, I know there's at the least a person who is in charge who can process refunds. He told me to call order up myself.
Asking for a spice level is standard across the board for Thai and Indian food. So the lack of attention to detail in this regard is disappointing.
Sometimes it works? Today, one of my noodle dishes had a good amount of spice, but the other one was sweet instead of hot because there were no hot peppers involved at all.
Now, two hours after my initial order, I am still without my order and also very aggitated. I have no indication of when or if I will be getting my refund and advise everyone NOT to order from this company!
We have eaten here repeatedly in the last three years. We enjoy the food very much and were never disappointed so far. The staff is always courteous and we never had to wait longer than at any restaurant depending on how busy they are. We will continue to stop by here when he are at appointments in State College. Time to go again...
Friendly and fast service the first time. The last two times we went, the waiter was half awake, slow, confused, and had to be prompted for everything. Please consider a replacement. Otherwise, Nice atmosphere . Delicious and authentic dishes!
I placed an order with this restaurant through Order Up. When I called, the guy was extremely unprofessional and rude. I placed an order an hour prior to calling and he was a complete jerk.
