The staff I've interacted with are all personable and seem to care about their business--especially the lady this morning who greeted me when I came in, was constantly doing something productive, and made sure I knew the best way of caring for the cat grass I bought without me even asking (without being pushy or condescending). The quality customer service is appreciated.
Horrible experience, would rate 0 stars if possible. Emily in the fish department had no idea what she was talking about and insisted that a male and female beta could share a 10 gallon tank. Also insisted that a single dwarf cichlid could not occupy a 10 gallon tank, despite the fact their website says that they can! Extremely rude employee who clearly should not be working in that section with such a limited knowledge of fish.
I don't love the way chain stores like this source small animals and small birds, and their prices are sometimes a bit excessive. I will say, though, that this particular location has an exceptional selection and variety of supplies and pet foods. I think I've always found what I've gone there looking for.
The aisles are always crazy crowded with products they have yet to put on the shelves or back in the store room. Plus, they won’t price match the stores they say that they will online and the prices on the items are always way higher than comparable stores or websites.
Wonderful, the lady at check out had price matched a bed for me so i could get it cheeper.
Somewhat limited selection and variety (which I've come to realize is fairly typical at Petco stores all over). However, the cat food selection is quite good. The store seems to always have extra stock or inventory carts in the aisles.
