LIES and lost money. Very disappointing. Save your money for something that isn't a SCAM. I went to cancel and an employee told me that there would be a huge fee. So, since it would supposedly cost the same to just keep the membership, I ask that it not be renewed and just curse my initial poor decision of signing up for this garbage. Well, surprise! It was renewed and I saw a 40 dollar charge on my account. Hoping it was mistake, I went to the gym and stated my issue. The employee told me there is, in fact, no cancellation fee! I was LIED to and it cost me $140. That's a hundred dollars in monthly fees plus the 40 annual fee! Of course I immediately ask what can be done about this. The employee tells me he can't do anything and to wait for a manager to come in. So I WAIT. When the manager arrives, she simply tells me that there is nothing she can do other than contact corporate. She said I would be called, but she didn't know when. I was forced to leave with no resolution and just another employee's word that someone (who could actually do something) would be contacted. I hope this one isn't lying. I left frustrated, with no refund and no timeline or information about resolving the issue outside of "we'll call you". This place has a COMPLETE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. I deeply regret getting involved with planet fitness.

I have always been passionate about fitness and nutrition. Often I can't even imagine a single day without working out. However, I would not recommend you work out at this gym.
This is one of the best managed Planet Fitness Clubs in the state. This location is always extremely clean, which is impressive in a college town. The manager Autumn is always visible and smiling, And very knowledgeable.
My advice is to skip the gym and head into the mall for a cinnamon sugar pretzel. At least do something that makes you happy instead of angry and frustrated.
The staff, including the manager, refuse to do anything about any complaints. In fact, they often respond to complaints with smirks and laughter, followed by an empty utterance of "there's nothing we can do." There are only two staff members who are actually quite polite and courteous (I can't remember their names, otherwise I would mention them). Maybe if one of them is put in charge, I will enjoy my time here more. Thankfully, I have plenty of gym equipment at home. I don't know if I will be accompanying my husband to the gym anytime soon; that is to say, if he decides to return to the absolute worst Planet Fitness I have been to (this is my fifth).
Great place to go, especially for the price. The staff is nice and polite and are always willing to help.
Update: One final attempt to attend this horrible gym this afternoon. Will be terminating our membership. There is this employee, John, at the front desk who is a total condescending ass. He thinks that because he knows how to wipe down equipment and check people in that he is somehow special. He is not. He behaves like no employee should to a customer. No member is informed of any changes to the contract or the gym's policy, which is against the law. Apparently John is too stupid to understand that, but he is enough of an arrogant dick to think he knows everything...Tell him hello for me!
My husband and I are on our second membership, as we had to cancel once before due to similar reasons I will soon discuss. The gym is not generally crowded when we go, but others who attend are nothing short of rude and disruptive. People talk on their phones while using the equipment, or have loud conversations that are so distracting I have almost tripped several times while on the treadmill. The staff is no better in terms of rudeness.
